My Strength
Split Personality

In Christ Alone

In Christ alone I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
In every victory let it be said of me
My source of strength, my source of hope
Is Christ alone.

I feel that I should expand on my post from yesterday on this topic.  After all, how many times have you been told that you just need to rely on God?  to just trust God for every aspect of your life?  I think that trusting God for everything is easier said than done.  Let's practically break this down.

In Christ alone I place my trust

1) Have you ever taken that first step in asking Jesus into your life as your PERSONAL savior?  If you haven't, stop here and go here.  (If you took this step right now and asked Jesus into your heart, please email me or post a comment.  I'd love to rejoice with you!)

2) How much do you pray? Prayer in itself is a humbling experience because usually when we pray we are admitting to God that we need help.  Do you pray before you start your work day?  Do you ask God to bless your correspondence, meetings, social time, devotional time?  Putting our lives totally in God's hands takes discipline and time, my friends.  We have to break our hurried, self-sufficient natures to make it happen!

3) What are you really trusting in to get things done?  Do you trust in other people, your work experience, your education, your life experience, charm or intelligence to make things happen?  If you are, then do you think you are trusting God?  I know from my personal experience that it is too easy (okay, it is lazy) to rely on my on strength to get things done.

Hmmm....I feel a second series coming on.  I might just take some more time tonight/tomorrow and put add some verses to this post.  This topic actually goes well with my reading in Romans anyway, right?  My online friends, I do pray that my words from my own experience can help you to have a close walk with Jesus.  Where would we be without Him?  I don't really want to think about it.  I pray for each of you that He becomes more real to you each day.  Until tomorrow....
