Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.
I love it when I'm going through my daily reading time, really taking the time to think on the scriptures before me, and God leads me to other verses in the bible (without using the "cheats"-center column cross references). I was led to to the verse above as I read 1 Cor 10:31:
Whatsover therefore ye eat, or drink or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
That is a powerful verse in itself, but I think that God must have decided that He needed to be more specific with me! Hence, Psalm 19:14. If we can get Psalm 19:14 down, we will have a good start on being able to do all things to God's glory. Controlling the things we think about, the meditations of our hearts, will affect our mouth's, our hands and our feet.
I pray today that I will be able to commit Psalm 19:14 "officially" to memory. I've pretty much known the the words of the verse just by hearing it said by others, but have never made it my own. I will do that today. Focus, focus, focus. Join me today if you want in memorizing this verse. May the words of your mouth and the meditations of your heart be acceptable in God's sight.
