Labor Not in Vain

Well, I finished up the book of 1 Corinthians this morning with chapters 15 and 16.  I read Paul's argument that the resurrection is real, based on the fact that Christ rose from the dead.  I also read how based on the evidence of Christ's resurrection we will all be given new bodies with the arrival of Christ's kingdom.  Now won't that be something!  I wonder if we will all be young looking and at the perfect weight in our new bodies?  Now that is something to think about!

1 Cor 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.  55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?  56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thanks be to God, that He gave us victory over death!!  Because we know of blessed hope we can have through the scriptures for life eternal - with those great new bodies - we should never cease to be telling people about Jesus and His saving power.  We should keep working in our ministries to make sure that the good news, the great news, is proclaimed!

Therefore my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.  (1 Cor 16:14)  Let all your things be done with charity. (1 Cor 16:14).  Keep up the good work, brothers and sisters, God is our great reward!
