Amazing Grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind but now I see.
Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
Thru many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
When we've been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we'd first begun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise than when we'd first begun... I just love this song. I don't know why I woke up singing it this morning. Maybe it is because I sang it at my aunt's gravesite last week, maybe it is because I am just so amazed at God's grace for me.
This is a song not just for those who have yet to find Jesus, but for those that have found Him and can't live without Him. Once blinded by myself, I can now see, even though I do still need to clean my glasses - figuratively and literally - from time to time. God's grace leads me "home" every day. What about you? He'll lead if you will follow.
