He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. - Ro 4:20-21 NKJV
When we wholeheartedly believe in all of God's promises, we will without a doubt declare the glory of God in our lives. We will be more courageous. We wil be more encouraging. We will be more hopeful. We will be more bold in sharing our faith with others because we will be filled up to overflowing with more joyful riches than we can contain no matter what circumstance befalls us. We will just be more.
Have you ever really thought about the faith of the patriarch Abraham? Yes, he doubted his faith at times. Yes, he waited a long time for the promises of God to take effect. But he still believed enough that his faith was known and praised for more than 2000 years up until the time of Paul's writing. It is still being touted today. 4000 years! That is some kind of faith! Abraham is in fact the "father" - either physically or spiritually speaking - of us all. Consider what Paul says in Romans 4:16-19
16 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all ... 18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be." (NKJV)
In the most hopeless of physical circumstances, Abraham believed in his God - our God. Although his faith wavered at times (see Ge 17:17) Abraham persevered. God gave Abraham strength and reassurance when he needed it and as a result his faith grew.
What is in your life today that you are needing an extra dose of faith to overcome? Are you having trouble believing that God can do what He says He will do? Reread the story of Abraham and Sarah. The God who granted an old man and woman a baby when they were "as good as dead" is the same God who is on the throne today.

1) How strong is your faith? What can you do today to strengthen your faith?
2) What opportunity is in your life that has the potential to show God's glory stamped all over it?
3) What has God promised you?
